As a self-taught web developer, I’ve created many websites for my friends and family. One of them was for my boyfriend who owns his own chiropractic clinic. And the feedback I got from him was it has too many unnecessary features he or his patients will never use. Of course, I wasn't happy with the feedback and though he's such an ungrateful brat for a second.
But, it actually got me realized that I never thought about the people who will use my product even though I cared about pretty designs and trendy programming languages. And it also made me wonder how to create products that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users.
Since then, my desire to provide a tailored user experience as per the particular need has been started. From designing wireframes to developing websites, I always strive to be the users’ advocate and keep the users’ needs at the center of design and development efforts.
I decided to take Web design and development program offered by Humber last year and this program has prepared me well for web designer. In studying web design and development, I’ve learned how to develop websites using HTML, CSS, Java Script, Node js, and React, and had extensive experience in working with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate and After Effect. And this education also helped me to get an in-depth knowledge of user experience design.
